Katie Ingersoll

Katie Ingersoll joined Tec-Com Inc. in 1988. She was named the company’s treasurer in 1989 and assumed the dual office of secretary-treasurer in 2014. She manages all of Tec-Com’s day-to-day operations, including payroll and accounting activities.

Katie also manages the web site of Tec-Com’s principal client, an independent oil and gas company based in Houston, posting or overseeing updates to the web site as provided by the client. In addition to announcements and press releases, she posts quarterly and annual updates of financial data and operational information and maintains archives of previous postings. In addition, she coordinates graphic updates with the web site’s graphic designer.

Katie also assists in the production of all the printed and electronic documents produced by Tec-Com, performing all the text layout work using Adobe InDesign and creating some of the graphic designs. In addition, she participates in research for Tec-Com’s various white papers, peer analyses projects, and statistical studies.

Prior to joining Tec-Com, Katie was a technical publications assistant for the Engineering Physics & Mathematics Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory for nine years. Her ORNL projects included technical reports, journal articles, and meeting papers, as well as the division’s annual progress report.

Katie is a graduate of Knoxville Business College in Knoxville, Tennessee, (now South College) and attended Roane State Community College in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She received a technical communication award from the East Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication in 1992. She also performed the layout for nine annual reports that won a “best in industry” award as part of the Nicholson Awards competition sponsored by the National Association of Investors Corporation (NAIC).
